I agree, caio. It's a personal rule that I never write one of those 'things are fundamentally different now' essays. IMHO, if the new way of things doesn't make sense to me, it's probably me, not the rest of the world that has some work to do. I don't buy Information Overload either. We've always had plenty of information to ignore.

I do think that information has been better commoditized, and that certain themes are artificially maintained for profit. However, like you suggest, Mr. Gabler is probably looking in the wrong places. (http://www.theonion.com/video/time-announces-new-version-of-...) :)
