Genre is hard. I've been on a Various Wave bender for about 2 weeks now. Bands are classified as New, Minimalist or Dark Wave with synth pop and post punk poking it's head in here or there. Sometimes I feel relativity confident that something fits a "minimalist wave" category but other times I think what a waste of time trying to classify this stuff.
