Wu has such a bizarre legacy. RZA is a control freak and has barely made music for, what, 15 years now? And what he does make is generally terrible. But the best Clan albums were when he was fucking insanely obsessive and controlling, and started to piss off the other members for not letting them do what they want, like Rae and Ghostface, but then again they didn't really want to do anything new, so instead he fucked them by public shaming and giving them shitty beats to overlay their work on. And on top of all that, the entire group was deeply uncomfortable with Cilvaringz at one point or another. The guy's been creepy since the beginning and nobody trusted him. I love the Wu, but it's gotta stop at some point. I just want Dark Matter and Liquid Swords II to be good, and then I'll call it a day.
