I have often thought that of all the humans who have lived up to now, in a millennium if our species is still around, only Neil Armstrong will be remembered. In that potential spacefaring future, the only human who matters is the first human to set foot on a celestial body. It's an overwhelming thought. The contrast here between Aldrin and Armstrong is fascinating. It's easy to forget those guys were fighter jockeys when they were our age.
