The original article is just surreal to begin with. It's almost like a humorless satire. The problem is that it essentially confirms fears that a cop sees violence and lethal force as just another tool in their bag for dealing with situations, enough so that it warrants the advisory "If you don’t want to get hurt, don’t challenge me". It's not supposed to go like that. Fearing for my life isn't something I should do when interacting with police for whatever reason. That's the dystopian scenario, but Dutta unashamedly handles it like a fact of life.
