I found it odd that the article didn't at all mention how sexual dimorphism might play a role in people's preferences. To me, it doesn't seem like men preferring shorter women is solely a social construction. Although, I have read somewhere that short people tend to have fewer health problems than tall people and are generally stronger, pound-for-pound. I can't remember where I read either of those things, so I could be wrong. If I'm not wrong and general health is a factor of determining attractiveness, then I don't see why tall women wouldn't find short people to be attractive also, at least on some level.
