I have been wondering what all the to do was about this week. We knew that the Fed propped up banks, and that they didn't disclose how much to who in an attempt to stave off runs on banks. The Fed also gave a shit ton of money to other central banks which in turn propped up their own banking system.
Much ado about nothing. I know that people are saying if we really understood the amounts involved we would have gotten real banking reform, but if you want to understand why we don't have real banking reform you need to look at campaign donations from the financial industry, Fed loans have no bearing.
